Does Kibbler work with Claude Code?

Yes. Kibbler is built specifically for Claude Code. It connects to your existing Claude Code CLI installation via our IDE plugin, letting you control it remotely from your iPhone.

Your code never leaves your machine. Claude Code runs locally on your desktop, and our tunnel uses mTLS encryption end-to-end. Our servers only route traffic and can't read your messages or code.

Do I need a Claude Code subscription?

Yes. Kibbler provides the mobile interface, but you need your own Claude Code CLI subscription from Anthropic. We just charge for the platform, not AI usage.

Does it work outside my home network?

Yes. Our secure tunnel lets you access your dev machine from anywhere: coffee shop, commute, or couch. No port forwarding or VPN required.

What IDEs are supported?

VS Code and all JetBrains IDEs: IntelliJ IDEA, WebStorm, PyCharm, GoLand, PhpStorm, Rider, CLion, and more. Install the extension from your IDE's marketplace.

Can I review code changes before they're applied?

Yes. Approval Mode lets you preview every file edit, write, and bash command before it runs. Review diffs and approve or reject changes. Never blindly trust AI with your codebase.

What phones are supported?

Optimized for iPhone, running iOS 17 or later. iPad can run it in compatibility mode. Android is not currently supported.

Does it work with other AI tools like Copilot or Cursor?

Currently Claude Code only. We may add support for other agentic coding tools in the future.

Does it work with the Claude API?

No. Kibbler works with Claude Code CLI, the terminal-based coding agent. It does not work with the Claude API directly.

Does it work with VS Code?

Yes! Kibbler works with VS Code and all JetBrains IDEs (IntelliJ, WebStorm, PyCharm, GoLand, etc.). Install the extension from your IDE's marketplace.

Does it work on iPad?

Kibbler is optimized for iPhone. It runs on iPad in compatibility mode (scaled iPhone app), but there are no plans for a native iPad version. The app is designed for on-the-go use from your pocket.

Does my computer need to stay awake?

On macOS, the Kibbler plugin automatically prevents your computer from sleeping while connected. On Windows and Linux, you may need to adjust your power settings manually.

Does my traffic go through your servers?

Traffic routes through our tunnel, but it's end-to-end encrypted with mTLS. Our servers only forward bytes and cannot read your messages or code. Encryption keys stay on your devices.
